Stamatis (MA Ed/ University of Roehampton) has extensive teaching experience, having been involved in English language instruction for over 25 years. After initial studies in methodology in Bournemouth and in Kent (Hilderstone College), he completed the RSA/UCLES (methodology diploma) with distinction at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. He also holds a postgraduate diploma (Dip/Ed Man) with a specialization in educational unit management (IHLondon/Educational Management), a Teacher Trainer Diploma (IHWO), and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Roehampton.

In Greece, he works as the head of examination departments in private foreign language institutes. He has worked as a Senior Teacher at BSC in London. In 1997, he founded the Papademetriou School. The pedagogical approach he adheres to emphasizes participatory and experiential learning. He designs and evaluates educational material, organizes seminars to enhance the educational skills of all the center’s collaborators, and teaches in both examination and adult classes (Business English Courses / Leadership Programme). He served as the head of the foreign language departments of private preschool and primary education institutions in Argyroupoli and Voula. He is a freelance Teacher Trainer and collaborates with publishing houses for teacher training sessions. He is also a founding member of the Hellenic English Council, Vice President of the ELA from 2021-2023 (Educational Leadership Association), and a member of TESOL Greece
